Alpha Theory takes its clients’ feedback very seriously. So, when we heard over and over again that it would improve our clients’ workflow to link Excel and Alpha Theory, we listened! Enter Alpha Theory Excel Connect.

Excel Connect allows users to:

Input all aspects of Alpha Theory’s Price Target Builder directly from Excel
Upload custom fields and checklist values with rationales from Excel into Alpha Theory
Change/Set asset level properties and overrides in Alpha Theory from Excel
Pull asset and fund information from Alpha Theory into Excel
Change/Set Fund Profile settings in Alpha Theory from Excel
Pull current scenario research from Alpha Theory directly into Excel
Pull Checklist values and Custom Fields from Alpha Theory into Excel
Use Excel to assign owners to assets in your portfolio
Pull/Display your current portfolio of assets within Excel
Change/Set share counts of positions in Alpha Theory
Assign assets to tags and manage tag-level constraints

Device Specifications

Minimum software required: Microsoft Excel 2016
Recommended software: Microsoft Excel 2019 and above

Installation Instructions

First-time installation:

Note: Close all Excel windows before installing Excel Connect.

Enter your email in the field above and click Download
Locate the downloaded file and start the installation process
Follow the prompts in the Setup Wizard to complete the installation

Software Update Instructions

Update your current version:

Uninstall the Current Version

Close Excel
Open Settings in your system
Navigate to Apps > Installed Apps
Search for 'Alpha Theory Excel Connect'
Select Uninstall and follow the prompts to remove the current version

Download and Install the New Version

Download the new Excel Connect version
Open Excel
In the ribbon, select the Alpha Theory tab and click About to ensure the newest version is installed and available
